Project Type: Water Main, Pump House & Reservoir Installation

Situation

The existing water lines of an older residence had started corroding from the inside-out, and needed to be replaced—the water lines, expansion tank, reservoir, and related equipment had all past its serviceable life.

Solution

The water lines were excavated using earthmoving equipment, and the old 8-inch diameter lines were removed and discarded. In their place a new water main was installed, pressure tested, and backfilled once the pressure test had passed. in addition, the expansion and reservoir tanks on the system were replaced with current anti-corrosive components, featuring a new steel expansion tank with anti-corrosion liner and pre-pressurized bladder.

Result

The project was a success, and the new water main allows for future expansion of the property without incurring expensive capital improvement costs.
